Dental Assistant — Trained to RDA
Work chairside with our doctors and become a Registered Dental Assistant without going back to school. Arkansas allows dental assistants to earn their RDA permits through on-the-job training with a licensed dentist. That means the same credentials from the State of Arkansas, without the thousands of dollars in dental assisting school tuition — and you get a paycheck while you learn.
Local dental assisting programs run around $4,000. Here's what the path looks like at Mint instead:
- Start as a dental assistant and learn chairside from our doctors and experienced RDAs.
- Complete the Board-approved courses for each permit (x-rays, coronal polishing, nitrous) — Mint pays for your courses.
- Get CPR certified and pass the state's Dental Practice Act exam.
- Earn your RDA permits from the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners.
This is a real investment we make in the right person. It's a great fit if you're dependable, quick to learn, and want a career — not just a job.
