New Patients — What to Expect

Welcome to Mint Dental Care

We are so glad you chose us. Whether this is your first time at a dental office in years or you are simply switching from another practice, we want your experience to be easy, comfortable, and welcoming from the very first phone call.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your initial appointment at Mint Dental Care is designed to be thorough without feeling rushed. Plan for about 60 to 90 minutes so we can give you the time and attention you deserve.

Here is what your first visit typically includes:

Comprehensive Exam

Your doctor will perform a full evaluation of your teeth, gums, jaw, and bite. We check for cavities, gum disease, oral cancer, TMJ issues, and anything else that could affect your oral health.

Digital X-Rays

Low-radiation digital imaging gives us a complete picture of what is happening below the surface. X-rays help us catch issues that are not visible during a visual exam.

Professional Cleaning

Our hygienists will gently remove plaque and tartar buildup, polish your teeth, and provide personalized tips for your home care routine.

Treatment Plan

After your exam, your doctor will sit down with you to review findings, answer your questions, and outline any recommended treatment — along with costs, timelines, and priorities.

What to Bring

To make your first visit as smooth as possible, please bring a valid photo ID, your dental insurance card (if applicable), and a list of any medications you are currently taking. If you have recent dental X-rays from a previous office, we are happy to accept digital copies — just ask your previous dentist to send them to info@mintdentalar.com.

Insurance & Payment

We are in-network with most major dental insurance plans, including Delta Dental, Guardian, Cigna, MetLife, United Healthcare, and many more. Our team will verify your benefits before your appointment and explain your coverage so there are no surprises.

No Insurance? No Problem.

We offer an In-Office Saver’s Plan designed for patients without insurance. It includes routine cleanings, exams, X-rays, and discounts on additional treatment. We also accept CareCredit and Cherry for flexible monthly payment plans.

Our Comfort Commitment

We know that visiting a new dentist can feel stressful. Here is what we do to make it easier: Bourbon and Weller, our certified therapy Bernedoodles, greet you in the lobby and are available to sit with you during treatment. Our team explains every step before we begin and checks in with you throughout. We offer nitrous oxide for patients who need extra help relaxing. And we never rush — you set the pace.

Hours & Location

We are located at 1230 E Centerton Blvd, Centerton, AR 72719. We are open Monday through Friday until 7pm, making it easy to schedule around work and school. Evening appointments are available.

New Patient FAQ

Do I need a referral to become a patient?

No referral is needed. Simply call us or fill out our contact form, and we will get you scheduled.

Can I schedule the whole family at once?

Absolutely. We love seeing families and can often schedule back-to-back appointments so everyone can be seen in one trip.

What if I have dental anxiety?

You are in good hands. Our team is experienced with anxious patients, and we go at your pace. Bourbon and Weller provide comfort, and we offer nitrous oxide for additional relaxation. Many of our most anxious patients tell us they actually look forward to coming back.

How early should I arrive for my first appointment?

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork and settle in. If you would like to fill out forms in advance, let us know when you schedule and we can email them to you.
